CAKE DECORATING SECRETS - Joanne Gusweiler
This class will stimulate your imagination as you are introduced to the foundation and building blocks of successful cake decorating. Students will learn how to properly slice a cake into layers, various types of icings and their best uses. Want to know hoe the pros do it without crumbs in the icing? You will learn how to ice a cake smooth and level, pipe the decorative borders, rosettes, shells, and leaves. We will also fill and finish a cake with a basketweave pattern. Additionally, we will be using buttercream icing, filling pastry bags and using pastry tips to decorate the cakes.
MENU - Two types of Buttercream icing; Icing a cake smooth; slicing a cake into layers, buttercream roses and leaves; using an Icing Comb and How to Use and Fill a Pastry Bag utilizing various pastry tips.
